Every site must contain easy to find information on the business or individual. Who are you, what you do, how to contact you, examples of your work or what you sell, why you are the solution to the reader’s challenges, and a call to action.

What is SEO?

SEO is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization. It refers to the way a website is designed so that it ranks high with search engines. In other words, if someone searches North Dakota Dog Groomers, and you are a dog groomer in North Dakota, if your website is SEO optimized, then your site should be the first one listed in google. SEO is fairly simple. It is not an extra service, yet too many people fall for the trap of paying for this service which you can accomplish on your own.

What is a Domain Name?

A domain name is a unique name that you pick for your future website, such as www.fasteasysite.com. Think of it as an “address” that people will type in to their web browser to find your site.

Where do I buy a domain name?

First, you need to check if one is available. Before you check a name and buy a domain, there are things to know about how the search engines will find you.

We STRONGLY suggest going with a .com name, meaning a domain that ends in the .com extension. Think of the extension as a zip code. Most people use .com, but there is also .org, .info, .mobi, .tv, etc.

I now have a domain name, is that it?
No, now you need to host the domain name. Imagine you have a street address, but now you need a home at the address. The domain is address, and the website is the home. Do I need two websites?

It depends - if you own two businesses, or if you are a model (or actor) you may want two sites - one that is an “agency-friendly” site (no contact information for you on the site) so agencies can send their clients to read about you or see your work without fear of the client booking you direct, and then a “direct booking” site - the same site only with your contact information included. We offer a substantial discount on a second website for models and actors.

I want to sell something on my site, do you offer a shopping cart solution?
